The Sector Striders Run Club is made up of dedicated military and civilian professionals from the Eastern Air Defense Sector (EADS) — a unit that operates 24/7 to protect the skies over the eastern United States. Our mission is rooted in vigilance, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to prevent another tragedy like 9/11.
As the command and control node responsible for detecting, tracking, and defending against airborne threats across 1 million square miles of U.S. airspace, EADS played a direct and critical role in the immediate response to the attacks on September 11, 2001. That legacy of service continues today through every watch we stand.
